All submissions to Argus, Northwestern State University's student literary magazine must be original work. Only submissions from an official student email account (ex. student@nsula.edu) will qualify. Prose and poetry must be less than 10 pages. One can submit as many pieces in any of the following categories: prose, poetry, photography, and fine art.

Only submissions from an official student email account will qualify. Students can apply an unlimited amount of submissions to any or all categories:
- Please submit ONLY one piece per submission.
- Please submit a piece ONCE; submitting the same piece multiple times DOES NOT improve chances.
- Your name should not be in the word document to maintain objectivity and prevent bias.
Profanity, triggering material, and tasteful nudity are allowed.
Any student from any major can submit (graduate and undergraduate).
Theme is recommened, not required.
Written Pieces:
- 12 point Times New Roman font
- Double spaced
- At most 8-10 pages (for prose)
- Submitted in Word Document form
Fine Art and Photography:
- Photographs can be submitted as .jpg, .jpeg, or .pdf file.
- Non-digital artwork should be photographed and uploaded. Digital art may be submitted as a .pdf or .jpg.
