All submissions to Argus, Northwestern State University's student literary magazine, should be original work.
Only submissions from an official student email account will qualify.
Students can apply an unlimited amount of submissions to any or all categories:

• Please submit only one piece per submission 
• Please submit a piece only once; submitting the same piece multiple times DOES NOT improve chances 
• Your name should not be in the word document to maintain objectivity and prevent bias 

Profanity, triggering material, and tasteful nudity are allowed.
Any student from any major can apply (graduate and undergraduate).
Theme is recommended, not required. 

Written Pieces: 
-12 point Times New Roman font
-Double Spaced
-At most 8-10 pages (for prose)
-Submitted in Word Document form
 

Fine Art and Photography: 

-Photographs can be submitted as a .jpg, .jpeg, or .pdf file 

-Non-digital artwork should be photographed and uploaded. Digital art may be submitted as a .pdf or .jpg
